CooperSurgical IVF Lawsuit

In recent news, two Los Angeles couples have filed lawsuits against CooperSurgical, a prominent fertility company, claiming that the company’s embryo culture solution led to the death of their embryos.

This shocking revelation has left many hopeful parents devastated and questioning the safety of IVF treatments.

The CooperSurgical Lawsuits and Allegations

According to the lawsuits filed in L.A. County Superior Court, the couples’ embryos ceased to grow or became nonviable shortly after being exposed to CooperSurgical’s embryo culture solution. The lawsuits allege negligence on the part of CooperSurgical for selling a defective embryo culture media used in IVF treatments.

In December, CooperSurgical issued a recall notice for its Global Media solution, stating that it impaired embryo development prior to the blastocyst stage. The couples’ attorney for the lawsuit argues that the company failed to adequately disseminate the recall notice and failed to acknowledge the magnitude of the issue, potentially impacting numerous individuals undergoing fertility treatments.

Was your clinic affected by CooperSurgical’s recalled embryonic solution?

Please note that the CooperSurgical embryonic solution recall may not have impacted all fertility clinics in the same way. If you have not received a recall letter from CooperSurgical and are concerned that this recall might have put your eggs or embryos at risk, contact the clinic at your earliest convenience.

If your eggs or embryos were affected, please call us for legal help as there may be compensation available to you for your loss.

For your convenience, we’ve compiled a list of fertility clinics that could potentially have been affected.
